The HoD helm being 50% instead of 20%......

started a year and a half ago, I won't say the new players are lucky. If they're new, they just take all the goodies we have now for granted. But gotta thank the developers. The idea of attribute refunds seem rediculous now. Hope they continue to make great games

You remember that time when we all got together and reminisced about the 'old days' in guild wars? yeah.. that was the best ever.

Jk jk but seriously enough with the reminising i see that far to much in these sorts of games. Sure new players have it better than 'old' (1 and a half years is old? :S) people did when the game first started but.. well think about it, thanks to you lot playin the game so long is how things got fixed, nerfed, moaned about ect.

I think my fondest of the old memories was definatey when the monk runes were 40k each. This is because I had figured out before many and had bought about 2 characters' inventories full of Superior Monk runes while they were 200g each....ya...

I made lotsa money off that, was so fun watching everone scramble to me to buy 'em!

hmmm.. I remember when there was no Rune Trader at all and you could only get runes from drops or players.. I remember that to get skills you needed skill rings... I also remember run prices being 100K for sup absorption and sup vigor.. when you weren't guaranteed runes from monster armor drops (and loosing a sup abs when they were selling for 100K because of the random chance...)

People these days have it ... easy? :P Rune trader, dye trader, cheaper runes, dye dressing room, choosing what to salvage, guaranteed runes from monster armor drops, having sites like GWG with all the info you need on stuff :P.. oh yeah..

and I doubt they'll appreciate how good they have it - people don't tend to appreciate something till they either loose it.. or what they have/do is improved and they can see/feel/know how much better things are for them after the change.

Ascalon.. I remember Ascalon during the beta weekends when the ground looked like sand from the local beach, the Sanitarium only a rectangular building filled with warriors and rangers, Ascalon City with a gigantic picture of Dwayna lit up by this huge crystal that had wrecked everything. The Charr that owned my lvl7 character.. yes.. good days

I actually wish they hold an 'Good Ol' Days' event where they put in the old Beta-Tyria, could be nice. What do you think ?

-cheap black dyes
-stormbows were worth alot too(i remember selling one that was 14-26 for 22k and it was white.
-infusion runs..we had to do 5 of them to infuse our armor
-rare drops with no mods
-the no key chests that droped crystalines and all (if i remember well there was one outside riverside province..or Santum kay that was bugged and droped good things)
-people that wanted to explore and have fun
